KNC is funded by the Australian Government to deliver volunteer services that link older people with companionship and social support.

What is the ACVVS?

The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) is an initiative designed to provide meaningful social connections for older individuals who may be experiencing loneliness or isolation.

Volunteer visits bring companionship and friendship

✔ Available for seniors in residential aged care and home care programs

Our goal is to ensure that older individuals feel valued, connected, and supported.

How It Works

Volunteer Visits

✔ Matched volunteers provide companionship visits at least once a fortnight
✔ Activities include chatting, reading, playing games, or sharing hobbies

Who Is Eligible?

✔ Open to older adults receiving government-subsidised aged care or home care packages
✔ Priority is given to individuals who are socially isolated or at risk of loneliness
