Volunteering at KNC
Volunteering is a wonderful way of meeting people and an extremely stimulating and very rewarding experience.
If you have some spare time and would like to contribute your skills or experience to the community, come and join KNC.

Who are KNC Volunteers?
People from all walks of life, nationalities and beliefs.
People who are friendly, accepting and emotionally mature.
People wanting an opportunity for personal growth and to make a difference in someone’s life.
People who have as little as 1 or 2 hours of spare time a month.
KNC volunteers help with

Community Care

Transport - Individual transport to essential medical and personal appointments for people who are unable to manage regular transport (must have your own fully insured vehicle and drivers licence)

Companionship - home visits and friendly phone calls to help maintain social contact

Shopping assistance – personal or by list. Shopping is either done for the client or transport and help at the shops is provided.

Social groups – coordination or help with a local social group, ie yarning, mah-jong, games, coffee mornings, or anything else you might think of just let us know your idea.

The KNC Board of Directors is made up of volunteers from the community.

We will then make an appointment with you to discuss what role might be best for you

Volunteers are provided with ongoing support, training and information
